UCC is always looking for athletic players that can shoot and defend, but most importantly that want to do well in the classroom. Head Coach at UCC is Richard Robles.
Coach Robles brings eighteen years of experience in coaching basketball to UCC. A native Californian with a mathematics degree from CSU, Chico, he has successfully completed head coaching stints at Lassen and Durham High Schools in Northern California over fourteen years. During this time he has amassed a 222-100 record with ten league championships, three State play-off appearances and one Division IV Northern Section title in 2007 at Durham High. His college coaching experience was obtained as an Assistant Coach under Russ Critchfield at Butte Community College in California. Coach Robles is currently employed by UCC as a Recruitment Officer and makes his home in Roseburg along with his wife, Heide and their three daughters, Mariessa, Kelsey and Jalen.
Coach Robles is currently in his fourth year of coaching at UCC, and is looking to develop a program of smart, hard-working players that are also excellent shooters and who will compete for the South Region conference title.
The Riverhawk Men’s team is also coached by Head Assistant Coach, Jarred Eakin. Coach Eakin has been a high school football and basketball coach for 8 seasons before joining the staff at UCC. Coach Eakin helps with recruiting and individual player development. This will be Coach Eakin’s 3rd year with the Hawks.
